Many, many of us were truly disappointed when Pesach / Nissan went by and no sign of Moshiach ben David. Particularly because now that we have been told by his personal messengers (hidden tzadikim and the autistics...) that he is so near and we are at the end of this present world, and because we know the saying from the gemara, "be motzei shvi'it ben dovid ba" (at the end of the seventh year [shemittah] the son of David will come), we now all the more look forward to Moshiach coming!
The most disappointing thing for me about the fact that he did not come on Pesach was because that would have been "Geula berachamim - 'deachishena'" Meaning a Redemption with mercy. However, to merit a redemption berachamim, most of us needed to have done teshuva shleima. And we all know that most of the Jews are still so far from teshuva. According to my understanding of the prophecies, becasue we did not merit Geula berachamim, it seems that the more harsh prophecies will be the ones to come true. The terrifying wars, etc. Its begining now to make sense to me what Rebbe Nachman wrote about the coming of Moshiach, which is that in the year Moshaich is supposed to come, if he did not come by Pesach, he will no longer come that year. So we're looking at at least next Rosh hashanah. It makes sense becasue "Geula debeitah', the more harsh one entails, according to the prophecies, the coming of Moshiach ben Yosef, the great big war, the death of Moshiach ben Yosef and finally the coming of Moshiach ben Dovid.
Therefore, if we are looking at hard, hard times as the autistics have been warning, do not despair and just make sure you yourself and your family are trying your best to follow Hashem and His Torah.
